How Are Whale Sharks Endangered?

Answer:

Whale sharks are the target of commercial fisheries; this has put them on the list of endangered species. Although the worldwide population is unknown, the reduction in sightings has placed them in a vulnerable situation.

According to information of 2016, there are about 7,100 whale sharks in the ocean.
